Understanding of these 2 cytokines has evolved
Recent evidence now indicate BAFF and APRIL as playing a dual role in the production of Gd-IgA1 and autoantibodies, which result in harmful immune complex formation and deposition in the kidneys. Our ultimate goal was to deepen HCP understanding of these drivers of disease, elevating both cytokines as important potential therapeutic targets in IgAN.
